These bags are quickly knit, it’s possible to make one just on the go, and it’s fairly easy, almost mindless.

Wie der Titel sagt: Nr. 5 ist fertig. Und nun kann ich auch Angaben zur benötigten Menge machen. Ein Knäul reicht genau für zwei Säckchen inklusive Kordel. Gestrickt mit Nadelstärke 6, keine Reste.

As the caption tells, this is no. 5. Now I can tell how much yarn is needed: one ball exactly makes two bags, including the cord, but without any leftovers, knitted with 6mm-needles.

Und Nr. 4 folgt auf dem Fuße. Bisher ist dieser mein Favorit, was die Farben angeht, wobei ich sie alle schön finde.

And this is no. 4. This is my favourite so far, regarding the colours, but of course I like them all.

Dies ist der dritte, frei nach dem Motto: “Unseren täglichen Entrelac-Beutel gib uns heute”. Ich bin fasziniert, wie unterschiedlich die Farben jeweils ausfallen, und vor allem bin ich auf das Filzen gespannt.

Bei einem der letzten Stricktreffs ging das Sonderheft der Interweave Knits herum, Holiday Gifts. Ein Modell löste bei uns Damen eine Woge des kollektiven Entzückens aus, nämlich kleine Säckchen in Entrelac-Technik, gestrickt mit Noro Kureyon und gefilzt. Ich habe mich ans Werk gemacht und den ersten fertiggestellt (abzüglich des Filzprozesses, der kommt noch.

During one of our latest Hamburg Knitters encounters we had the opportunity to take a closer look to the Interweave Knits Special Issue, Holiday Gifts. There was one pattern in it that enthused us all: little felted entrelac bags, knitted with Noro Kureyon. I just finished the firstone, but it’s not felted yet.

Für das Zugband habe ich etwas Neues ausprobiert: eine Strickgabel. Das ist sehr einfach und geht auch schnell.

For the cord I tried something new: a lucet. It’s really quick and easy.

Ich werde noch mehr machen, als Verpackung für Weihnachtsgeschenke, für ganz überwältigend liebe Menschen.
