Es ist wieder Ostern, und das bedeutet, dass ich Mutter Jinx mit einem Hasen erfreue. Das hat bei uns Tradition, wir schenken uns jedes Jahr Hasen und gucken, wer den niedlicheren bekommen hat.

It’s Easter again, and this means that I’ll cheer up mother Jinx with a bunny I present to her. It’s sort of a family tradition, we give toy bunnies to each other and see whichone is the cutest.

Dieses Jahr bat meine Mutter um ein Modell, das nicht ganz so riesig ist wie das vom letzten Jahr.  Zudem äußerte sie Gefallen an einem Hasen, der gerade das Schaufenster von Naimas Laden verschönert. Den habe ich also auf Sicht nachgestrickt und ihn zum “White Rabbit” umgestaltet. Ich gebe es zu, er sieht ein bisschen so aus, wie Alice ihn sehen würde, nachdem sie etwas zuviel von dem Pilz hatte, aber er passt ganz gut als Regaldeko für ihre Alice-Ausgaben.

This year my mother asked for a bunny which is not as huge as the one I gave to her last year. Besides this, she saw one in the window of Naima’s yarn shop she liked, and so I decided to knit her one like this. So I improvised the design and modified it so it looks a bit like the “White Rabbit”. I have to admit it looks a bit as if Alice saw it after she had too much of this weird mushroom, but I think it will make a nice decoration for the bookshelf she stores her Alice editions in.
