Gestern habe ich ein lokales Wollgeschäft aufgesucht und das sogar Herrn Jinx angekündigt. Sein Hinweis, dass ja noch etwas Wolle im Hause wäre, blieb diesmal aus, denn ich hatte einen triftigen Grund. Doch, ehrlich. Also, ganz wirklich jetzt. Heute beginnt nämlich mein Volkshochschul-Strickkurs. Ich werde in fünf Doppelstunden AnfängerInnen mit und ohne Vorkenntnisse das Stricken eines Schals nahebringen. Drückt mir die Daumen, bitte.

Yesterday I went to the local yarn store, and Mr. Jinx didn’t remark that there is still some yarn in the household because I had a good reason to do so. Really. Today my knitting class will start, I’m going to teach knitting a scarf for beginners.

Die Stabstricknadeln sind natürlich blöd, aber zum Zeigen der Technik praktischer. Empfehlen werde ich sie natürlich nicht.

I really dislike long, straight needles, but they’re better for showing the technique.
