Everything’s about the Garden Show: Even the junction boxes cooperate.

Endlich haben wir uns aufgerafft und sind nach Schwerin zur Bundesgartenschau gefahren. Das Setting ist sozusagen optimal. Im Bild die eindrucksvolle Kulisse des Schweriner Schlosses, das so ziemlich alle Stilrichtungen in sich vereinigt, mit Außnahme altorientalischer Spielarten vielleicht. Das Ergebnis ist ein lustig-charmant-eklektischer Hintergrund.

We made it to Schwerin finally, for a one-day trip to visit the German Federal Garden Show. The setting is first class. The pic shows the rather impressive scenery; its Schwerin castle. The architect embraced heartily tons of architectural styles (except the ancient oriental ones and the ones of the middle east, maybe). The result is a eclectic background which is rather charming.

Die Anlage selbst ist, wo neu gestaltet, kompromisslos modern: hier eine Imitation einer Insellandschaft durch Beete und Flächen aus zerstoßenem Glas. Eine Ausnahme stellt selbstverständlich der historische Schlosspark dar, der Teil der BUGA ist.

The exhibit itself is modern without a compromise (except for the palace garden, of course, which is a vital part of the whole show).
