Ich habe einen seriösen Versuch mit den Brettchen gestartet, und ich bin sehr zufrieden. Natürlich sind Fehler im Band (nämlich drei Stück, zweimal habe ich die Brettchen in die falsche Richtung gedreht und einmal bin ich nicht sorgfältg genug in das Fach gefahren), aber da ich sie als notwendigen Teil des Lernprozesses begreife und mich als blutige Anfängerin nicht mit unangemessenem Perfektionismus belaste, bin ich stolz auf mein Band. Gut gelungen ist die Fadenspannung, hier kam mir zweifellos meine Erfahrung mit Fasern allgemein zugute.

I took a serious attempt to try card weaving again, and I’m very satisfied with the result. Of course, there are some mistakes in it (there are three, two times I turned the cards in the wrong direction, and once I missed the gap correctly), but I see them as necessary part of my learning process,  and since I’m a beginner, I don’t stress myself with inadequate perfectionism. So I’m really happy with the result, and I’m proud of myself. What worked very well is the tension, I think my experience with fibres I gathered with knitting and spinning helped a lot.
