Jaha, ich konnte vor einigen Monaten nicht widerstehen (mal wieder …) und habe mir zwei dicken Knäule Kauni Regenbogen bestellt, da ich die Farben so absolut unwiderstehlich fand. Daran hat sich nichts geändert, doch wusste ich nicht recht, was ich mit der Wolle anfangen sollte. Die Farben sind toll, jedoch wollte ich sie nicht zu einem Schal oder Pullover verarbeitet wissen, da im Regenbogenspektrum doch zu viele Farben sind, die mir nicht stehen.

Yeah some months ago I just couldn’t resist (again …) and ordered two large balls of Kauni Rainbow yarn, since I just loved the colours. This didn’t really change, but I never knew what to knit with it. The colours are gorgeous, but I didn’t want to knit a scarf or a sweater from this yarn because some of the rainbow colours simply don’t become me.

Also überlegte ich, eine Tasche zu stricken, doch habe ich inzwischen kleine Behältnisse in ausreichender Zahl gestrickt (für Handspindelbedarf, für Spinnzeug …), und als Handtasche bevorzuge ich, die ich immer viel Zeug mitschleppe doch eine große Ledertasche (falls Frau Blasebalg mal auf die Idee kommt, den Inhalt der Lieblingshandtasche abzufragen, mit Foto, haben meine LeserInnen garantiert etwas zu Lachen).

So I got the idea to knit a bag, but the fact is that I already did a sufficient number of small bags (for handspindling equipment, for spinning equipment …), and as a real handbag I do prefer heavy-duty leatherones since I carry so much stuff around with me.

Nun stieß ich bei Ravelry auf eine faszinierende kostenlose Anleitung für eine Decke, die Ten Stitches Blanket. Die wird den Farbverlauf der Kauni ideal herausbringen, denke ich. Noch ein Langzeitprojekt …

At Ravelry’s I found a fascinating free pattern for an afghan, the Ten Stitches Blanket. It will bring out the colour gradient of the Kauni yarn in an ideal way, I think. Well, another long-term project …
