Der dunkle Kontraststreifen ist auch geschafft. Das heißt, er bildet einen Kontrast zu der Grundfarbe darunter, und er wird auch einen Kontrast zur noch zu strickenden Grundfarbe darüber bilden, aber Kontrast zur dunkelgrauen Musterfarbe? Fehlanzeige. Ich finde den Streifen optisch sehr attraktiv, ein echter Hingucker, aber das Stricken war alles andere als erfreulich, weil man an diesen trüben Tagen den Kontrast nicht sieht, sondern eher fühlt; nämlich zwischen der Alpakamischung und dem reinen Wollgarn. Aber es ist geschafft, und nun kommen die letzten beiden Mustersätzen vor den Ärmeln!

The dark contrasting stripe is done as well. This means, there is a contrast to the basic colour used below and there will be a contrast to the – still to come – basic colour used above it, but there is no contrast at all between the dark violet basic colour and the dark grey which is used all over the body for the pattern. I love the effect, but knitting it was no pleasure at all. During these dark, dimmish days the difference between the two is hard to tell by taking a look; in fact I felt it more than I saw it (the grey is an alpaca blend, and the violet is pure wool). Now there are two more pattern repeats to knit, and then the sleeves will follow!
