Harmony Guides

Da ich in letzter Zeit ein paar Ideen für eigene Entwürfe entwickelt habe, fahre ich momentan total auf Strickmustersammlungen ab. Dies sind die neuesten Schätze in meiner Sammlung, die Harmony Guides, und ich muss sagen, dass ich sie nach der ersten Durchsicht auch für mit die besten halte. Es sind drei Bände: Cables & Arans, Knit & Purl, Lace & Eyelets. Die Fotos sind deutlich, das Layout übersichtlich, die Anleitungen so gut geschrieben, dass auch Anfänger oder anleitungsresitstente Menschen damit zurechtkommen dürften. Natürlich wiederholen sich viele Muster von Sammlung zu Sammlung, aber man findet doch immer wieder etwas Neues.

During the last weeks I developed some ideas for patterns. Therefore I’m really keen on pattern libraries at the moment. These are my newest purchases: The  Harmony Guides, and I can tell that I really think they are one of the bestones. There are three volumes: Cables & Aran, Knit & Purl, and Lace & Eyelets. The photos are brilliant, the layout very clear, and the instructions are well written and might be usable for beginners and instruction-resistant persons as well. Of course you find the same patterns in each and every pattern library, but there is always something new to discover.
