Dies ist ein Ausschnitt eines meiner WIPs: LaScala von Hanne Falkenberg. Der rot-pinke Streifen ist schuld, dass das Teil so lange vor sich hinvegetierte. Ich habe mich grob verstrickt und einen Teil geribbelt, nur um festzustellen, dass der Fehler noch da war. Gestern habe ich mich aufgerafft und den gesamten Streifen aufgetrennt und neu gestrickt. Es hat sich gelohnt, denn dieses Mal stimmt alles. Es war furchtbar, denn beide Farben sehen bei elektrischem Licht praktisch identisch aus.

Als ich festhing, machte sich meine mangelnde Erfahrung in Sachen Stricken bemerkbar und dass ich manchmal Projekte wähle, die eigentlich zu schwierig für mich sind. Aber nach der Ruhepause war alles ganz einfach.

This is a view of one of my WIPs: LaScala by Hanne Falkenberg. The red-pink stripe is to blame that I put it aside for several months. I made a major mistake and frogged a few rows. While reknitting them I could clearly see that the mistake was still there and proceeded with the growing garment. Yesterday I pulled myself together and frogged the whole stripe. I knitted it again, and it was worth the efford. Now it’s o.k. It was awful because both colours look almost identically in slightly dim light (and it’s still winter).

Probably it was my lack of knitting experience which made me putting aside the scarf. Sometimes I chose projects which are actually too difficult for me. But after the break everything was really easy.
