Meine Kardiermaschine ist angekommen! Ich werde sie in den nächsten Tagen ausprobieren, sobald ich mich in die Materie eingelesen haben werde. Nun ist der Weg für weitere Experimente farblicher und faseriger Art frei!
My drum carder just arrived. I will try it within the next days, when I will have done some reading about this topic. Now I can do some experiments in colours and fibres!

Ich möchte noch nicht von einer Auftragswelle sprechen, aber meine Mutter hat das Foto mit der grauen Gotlandwolle gesehen und war so begeistert, dass sie sich naturweiße, handgesponnene Wolle für einen Gansey zu Weihnachten wünscht. Kein Wort von bieder, dörflich, blabla. Ich denke, ich nehme Blue Faced Leicester.
I won’t call it a rush of orders, but after showing my mother a picture of the grey Gotland yarn I spun she was really enthusiastic about it. So much that she “ordered” natural white, handspun yarn for a gansey as her Christmas present. She did not even mention that spinning might be unsophisticated, boring, rahter rural et. al. I think I will chose Blue Faced Leicester for thisone.
