Ich glaube, ich habe die Bedienung des Spinnrades nun auch kapiert. Mein Garn ist dünn, ziemlich gleichmäßig und weist nur wenige unwesentlich dickere Stellen auf. Ich würde das gerne meiner “autodidaktischen Hartnäckigkeit” (Anna, toller Ausdruck!) zuschreiben, aber das wäre nicht die ganze Wahrheit und somit auch nicht ehrlich. Ich hatte nämlich Unterstützung durch eine stille Leserin, die mir abseits der Kommentarfunktion eine Hilfestellung anbot, die mir innerhalb von Minuten von komischem, flockigen Zeug zu obigem Ergebnis zu kommen. Da sie sich bisher nicht groß exponiert hat, möchte ich das an dieser Stelle auch nicht tun (es sei denn, ich höre Gegenteiliges) und sage daher einfach nur “Danke”.

I think I managed the handling of my spinning wheel now. The thread I spun is thin, fairly even, and has only a few, dispensable thicker parts. I would really love to accredit this to my “autodidactic stubborness” (a great expression, Anna), but this is not absolutely true, and therefore it would not be honest. I was supported by one of my of my silent readers who offered me a helping hand. Due to this my spinning changed from a weird, fluffy something to the result seen above. Since she barely uses the comments option, I think she would not like to be exposed here, and therefore I just say “thanks”.
