… und keine blöden Kommentare jetzt bitte!

Nachdem ich mich von dem Schock, wirklich ein Spinnrad käuflich erworben zu haben, dass nicht dazu gedacht ist, mit Strohblumen verziert in einer Ecke des Wohnzimmers zu stehen, lese ich mich jetzt auf den Informationsseiten ein. Die sind viel dünner gesät als die zum Thema Stricken, der Informations-Overkill bleibt also aus, aber die Verwirrung steigt. Ich hoffe, mein Spinnrad kommt schnell an, damit ich mich gleich in die Praxis stürzen kann. Zum Üben (auch bekannt als Herstellung schwangerer Regenwürmer) habe ich mir erst mal 1kg ungefärbte, kardierte Wolle bestellt. Ich habe es nicht so mit Ökobraun etc., aber das ist in diesem Fall auch nicht so wichtig.  Meinem Lebensgefährten habe ich den Kauf gestern noch gestanden. Nachdem er in den letzten Monaten schon irre Mengen an Strickbüchern und Wolllieferungen an sich hat vorbeiziehen sehen, hat er es mit Fassung getragen. Er ist wirklich der Beste!  Jetzt bleibt mir außer mich in Geduld zu üben, bis das Spinnrad und die Wolle ankommen, nur noch eines zu tun: mich herzlich bei Euch für Euren Zuspruch und die guten Tipps zu bedanken. After I recovered from the shock that I really bought a spinning wheel which is meant to be used and not to be an item of mere decoration, I started reading some websites related to this topic. There are not as many as you find if you look for sites about knitting, what means that the overkill of information can be avoided this time. What can not be avoided is the state of confusion, since this is all very theoretical to me. I hope my spinning wheel will arrive soon. For getting some practice (in German we say “producing pregnant earthworms) I ordered 1 kilo of carded, undyed natural wool. This brownish shades are not my favourites, but this does not matter. To my man I confessed yesterday that I bought a not-so-small item that will make our flat a bit more crowded and that will keep me busy, but he kept his contenance. He’s the best! Now I have to be patient until the spinning wheel and the wool will arrive. But I want to thank everyone who left a comment on my last post and encouraged me.
