Da wäre zunächst natürlich das Zigzag-Top von Marianne Isager, das nun auch als solches zu erkennen ist. Das Muster begeistert mich, allerdings geht es nicht sehr schnell. Sozialerweise wird nahtlos in Runden gestrickt, ausgehend von den Trägern, an die durch Maschenaufnahme die übrigen Teile herangeprökelt werden. Ich kann kaum erwarten, dass es fertig wird. Die Farbe ist nicht sonderlich authentisch, sie ist weniger lila und leuchtet auch weniger.

First of all there is the Zigzag-Top by Marianne Isager, which can now easily be recognized. I just love this pattern, but I’m not too quick knitting it. I’m happy to knit this in rounds and absolutely seamless, starting from the straps and casting on the stitches for the other parts. I can hardly wait finishing thisone! The colour is less violet and less shiny.

Dies wird also mein erster “Raglan von oben”, in der Strickszene auch liebevoll RVO genannt. Ich trage Raglanpullover gerne und wollte schon lange einen stricken. Dieser wird schlicht und blau (natürlich!). Ich stricke mit Silke Tweed von Drops Garnstudio. Das ist ein Mischgarn aus Seide und Lammwolle, das ich einfach wunderschön finde. Ich liebe diesen tweedig-filzig-samtigen Look. Als Projekt fällt es in die Rubrik “mindless knitting” und ist auch für unterwegs geeignet. Da das Garn recht dünn ist (ich stricke mit Nadelstärke 3), ist es auch für kühle Sommerabende geeignet.

This will become my first raglan sweater which is knitted from the top. I like the shape and fit of raglan sweaters very much and wanted to knit one for a long time. Thisone will be plain and blue (of course…). The yarn I chose is Silke Tweed by Drops Garnstudio. It’s a blend of silk and lambswool which I fell for immediately when I saw it for the first time. I just love this tweedy-felty-velvety look. It’s a project which is knitted rather mindless and very good for taking it outside. Since the yarn is rather thin (I use 3-mm needles) it can be worn on cool summer evenings.

Ich werde das Teil bundlos stricken. Der helle Streifen am Kragen wird später nicht mehr sichtbar sein, da umgenäht.

I will knit the sweater without any cuffs or ribbings. The contrasting part at the collar will not be seen later because I will sew it to the left for reinforcing the plain collar section.
