Das Thema der Socke des Monats April ist klar: GRÜN! Ich habe sie “Frühlingsgrün” genannt, passend zum diesjährigen April, in dem alles so grün ist, als wäre es bereits Juni. Passend zu den Temperaturen sind es Sneakersocken geworden. Zum ersten Mal habe ich Wollmeisenwolle für ein Sockenpaar verstrickt, und ich bin begeistert. Obwohl reine Wolle, fühlen sie sich kühl an und sind somit ideal für die wärmere Jahreszeit. Das Muster ist eigentlich für ein wesentlich dickeres Garn gedacht, aber ich habe es angepasst.

The theme for the April sock of the month is: GREEN! I named them “spring green”, which is very appropriate for this year’s april: everything is just green as if it was June. Apt with this year’s temperatures, I knitted sneaker socks. This was the first time I used sock yarn from Wollmeise, and I’m just delighted. Although it’s pure wool, they feel rather cool and are ideal for spring and summer. The pattern was meant for thicker yarn, but I customized it.
