Nachdem ich nun meine Farbberatung bekommen habe und alles ohnehin brav kaltfarbig stricke, hatte ich nach den Deep Sea Monkeys mal Lust, etwas ganz Anderes zu machen. Ich entschied mich für ein recht ausgefallenes Sockenmuster (Ripple Socks aus dem Buch Socks Socks Socks) und wählte intuitiv aus meinem Sockenwoll-Vorrat zwei Farben aus, eine uni und eine gemustert. Das kam nun dabei heraus. Beides sind keine Farben, die ich ums Gesicht herum tragen würde, aber für Socken geht ja bekanntlich so ziemlich alles. Ich finde es jedenfalls lustig, und mir gefällt es, auch wenn die Zusammenstellung ziemlich ungewöhnlich ist.

After I got my colour consultation and knitting everything in cool colours andyway, I felt the need to do somenthing dramatically different. I chose a rather flashy sock pattern (Ripple Socks from the book Socks Socks Socks) and let my intuition do the rest of the job, the yarn selection. This is what came out: a fiery red and a self-striping yarn in soft green and pink. This is rather unusual for me, and I would never wear one of these around my face, but for socks everything is possible. For me it’s just fun, I like the colours a lot, although the combination is rather unusual.
