Normalerweise zeige ich keine Bilder von einzelnen Socken, aber hier mache ich eine Ausnahme. Denn diese Socke macht mehr Arbeit als vier normale. Es ist das Modell Mameluke Socks aus dem Buch Folk Socks von Nancy Bush. Diese Socken sind quasi die Vorübung für den Fair-Isle-Pullover, den ich mir stricken will. Die Socke hat schon noch ihre Macken, die man auf dem Bild dankenswerter Weise nicht sieht. Trotzdem gefällt sie mir. Sie ist bequem und wird sich als Haussocke gut tragen lassen.

I don’t show pictures of single socks normally, but thisone is an exception, since it took as much time as knitting four normal, plain socks. It’s the Mameluke Sock from the book Folk Socks by Nancy Bush. These socks are something like a preliminary practice for the Fair-Isle sweater I’m planning to knit. There are some minor faults (I’m happy they can’t be seen in the pic), but I like it very much. It’s comfortable to wear and will make a great sock for indoors.
