Herzlich willkommen hier auf meiner eigenen Domain und meinem eigenen Webspace. Ich habe mich zum Umzug entschlossen, nachdem auch das Update meines alten Anbieters nicht das hielt, was ich mir davon versprach.

Es ist noch nicht alles fertig, ein paar Umzugsarbeiten und Verschönerungen sind noch zu tun, dennoch bin ich sehr zufrieden. Ich hoffe, dass meine Stammleser mir treu bleiben.

Leider ist es nicht möglich, die Kommentare zu übernehmen, aber das lässt sich nicht ändern. Die Posts werden bis auf wenige Ausnahmen, die nicht von Belang sind, hierher überführt.

Nachtrag: Nachdem ich mich jetzt zwei Tage lang totgearbeitet habe, ist der Blog jetzt im Großen und Ganzen fertig (fürs Erste jedenfalls). Und ich bin begeistert. Ich kann alles so gestalten, wie ich es möchte. Ich muss keine Admins, deren Fähigkeiten ich nicht einschätzen kann, in meinen Inhalten herumfuhrwerken lassen (mein gesamtes Archiv im alten Blog war nämlich zwischenzeitlich weg, weil die einen Fehler bei der Blogumstellung gemacht haben). Ich habe die völlige Kontrolle über das Aussehen meines Blogs. Insofern kann ich jeden, der regelmäßig bloggen möchte, nur ermutigen, sich eine eigene Domain und eigenen Webspace zu besorgen (das erlaubt auch echt schicke e-mail-ads). Die Software für Blogs ist auch kostenlos und wirklich hervorragend. Die Installation ist nicht schwierig, echt nicht.

Welcome to my new blog which is located on my own webspace. I decided to move after the latest update of my former provider was not was I expected. Unfortunately it is not possible to bring the comments over here, but the posts will be here completely (except some outdated stuff).

I’m not done yet, some of the old posts are still missing, but I am confident to fix it within some more days. I am very happy with the new software and I hope my readers will stay faithfully with me.

Addendum: After working myself to death for almost two days, I can say I am done (at least for now). And I can tell I’m thrilled. I can do what I want and in the way I want it. I don’t have to let some administrators with unratable knowledge clown around with my content (meanwhile the whole archive of my former  blog was lost in space, because they made some mistakes regarding the conversion from the old to the new version of their stupid software). Look and handling of my blog are completely under my control. After my discouraging experience with my former provider I just can encourage everyone who wants to blog seriously and regularily, to get his own domain and his own webspace (a nice side effect is a flashy e-mail-ad). The software for this kind of blog is free as well and its quality is extraordinary good. And it’s not difficult at all to install and administrate, really.
