Gestern kam ein Neuzugang an: Naturfarben auf Wolle und Seide von Dorothea Fischer. Ich habe zwar beim vorletzten Wollschaf vollmundig verkündet, dass ich nicht färbe und dies auch nicht beabsichtige, aber dieses Buch musste trotzdem sein. Es ist nämlich ein Schatz an Wissen, das sich kaum irgendwo finden lässt. Daher habe ich zugeschlagen und bin begeistert. Bestellt habe ich es bei der Autorin direkt, da es bei Books on Demand erschien und ich die Dame gerne vollumfänglich unterstützen möchte. Falls ich jemals färben sollte, dann auf die hier beschriebene Weise.

Yesterday a book I ordered arrived. It’s a German book about dyeing wool and silk with completely natural colours. The author’s name is Dorothea Fischer.
Some days ago I said in public that I don’t dye yarns myself and not planning to do so, but I HAD to have this book. It’s a treasure of knowledge which can hardly be found somewhere else. I love this book and ordered it directly from the author since it was published at Book on Demand. So I can support her directly, without any dealers inbetween. If I ever plan to dye yarns, I will follow this book.
