Mein zweites Stulpenpaar ist fertig. Ich habe das Modell Fetching aus knitty.com nachgestrickt, wobei ich mich nur ungefähr an die Vorlage gehalten habe. Dies machte Sinn, da das gewählte Garn wesentlich dicker war als im Original.
Das Material ist ein wunderbar weiches Alpaca, das mit Nadelstärke 5 verstrickt wird. Die Stulpen passen wunderbar und sind wirklich einfach und schnell nachzustricken.

The second pair of fingerless gloves is done. I chose the pattern Fetching from knitty.com, but I stuck rather loosely to the instructions. This made sense since the yarn I chose is much thicker than the one used originally.
The material is pure alpaca, its unbelievably soft. I used 5 mm needles. The mitts fit perfectly and are really easy and quick to do.

Nicht vorenthalten möchte ich der begeisterten Öffentlichkeit meinen ersten Filzversuch. Ich bin nicht wirklich zufrieden, aber kann mit dem Ergebnis leben (es könnte schlimmer sein). Weitere werden jedenfalls folgen.

I do not want to deprive my dear readers of my first felting attempt. I am not really satisfied, but it could be worse. I will try again, of course and the results will be seen here.

Den Weihnachtspullover habe ich übrigens zugunsten der Stulpen vernachlässigt. Außerdem konnte ich nicht widerstehen und habe den “Cardigan for Arwen” aus der aktuellen Interweave knits angestrickt.

I have to confess I neglected my christmas sweater for the benefit of the mitts (and it was worth it). And I could not resist and started with the “Cardigan for Arwen” from the Interweave knits Winter 2006.
