Ich arbeite ja gerade an diesem cornischen Guernsey. Die Wolle sieht verstrickt wirklich wunderschön aus, und mir ist auch klar, dass das Muster (fischschuppenähnlich) auch nur mit dünner Wolle und dünnen Nadeln wirklich gut aussieht. Grobes Gestricke und Guernseys passt nicht zusammen. Jawohl.
Jetzt sitze ich und friemele mich mit Nadelstärke 3 in Runden nach oben. Ich weiß, dass ich schon viel mehr geschafft habe als es den Anschein hat, da ich ja Vorder- und Rückenteil gleichzeitig stricke. Mein Unterbewusstsein hat es nur noch nicht verstanden. Das sieht nämlich nur 20 cm in die Höhe.
Die Worte “Schnellstrickwolle” und “Nadelstärke 10+” haben für mich momentan einen unerhörten Reiz, aber ich weiß auch, dass das alles vergessen sein wird, wenn er endlich fertig ist.
Wenn die Musterpasse kommt, wird alles anders, besser, schöner. Jawohl.

Currently I’m knitting the Cornish guernsey. The fabric looks just wonderful and it is perfectly clear to me that a guernsey only looks really good if it’s knitted with thin yarn and thin needles. Chunky knitwear and guernseys don’t make a good match. No, they don’t.
Now I’m poking upwards in rounds with needles No. 3 (continental size). I know that I’ve done already quite a lot, regarding that I’m knitting the back and the front of the sweater at the sme time. But my subconscious mind did not follow yet and sees just a height of appr. 20 cm.
The Words “chunky weight” and “needle no. 10+” seem very attractive to me at the moment. But I know that all this will be forgotten when the sweater will be finished … one day.
When I reach the pattern at the upper part everything will be different to me, better and nicer. Oh yes. It will be.
